The FCA Fire Safety Council works to reduce fire risk in our community. Lemon Heights and Cowan Heights are adjacent to wild brush areas and are among the highest risk areas in the state for wildfires. As a result of the information provided by our Fire Safety Council, many residents have reduced fire risk by creating defensible space, installing gable screens with 1/8th inch openings and clearing brush and firewood near the residence.
